JumpCrew is thrilled to welcome Jamari Brown, Director of Economic and Community Development in the Nashville Mayor’s office to give opening remarks at the inaugural conference, JumpCon: Digital Sales Transformation Summit this Thursday, Oct. 24.
Jamari Brown was recently named Director of the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Community Development after spending the previous 11 years as Director of Business Development for the Tennessee Department of Economic & Community development. This made him an obvious choice for Mayor John Cooper when he took office last month.
In September, Mayor Cooper’s press secretary confirmed that Mr. Brown would stay in the new administration. The Nashville Business Journal wrote, “Mr. Brown is well-known and respected among business leaders, having spent more than a decade recruiting jobs to Tennessee at the state level.”
During his time at the State, Mr. Brown led 70 teams that announced 13,000 jobs and investments of two billion dollars in Tennessee. He was responsible for recruiting headquarters, data centers, R&D operations and tech jobs to Tennessee, including companies like AllianceBernstein who agreed to move their HQ to Nashville under Brown’s lead. In addition to his many professional accomplishments, Mr. Brown is also a proud native Nashvillian.
“JumpCrew is very fortunate to be supported by a city focused on economic development,” remarks Robert Henderson, CEO of JumpCrew. “As a growing Nashville-based business, the resources that the city provides are a critical component of our rapid growth.”
The whole team at JumpCrew is looking forward to welcoming Jamari to JumpCon and following his career in the Mayor’s office.
