Dave Scott will be one of our headlining speakers at our inaugural JumpCon Digital Sales Transformation Summit. The event is Thursday, October 24th, 2019 in Nashville “Music City” Tennessee.
Why JumpCon: The Sales Digital Transformation Summit
Why Dave Scott?
Dave Scott is an award-winning marketer, author, and podcast host. His most recent feat? Being named Director of Global Marketing at Twitter…damn. Before that, Dave acquired 15+ years of marketing experience at a couple of “small” companies like Gigya (acq by SAP), Foresee (acq by Answers), and Peoplesoft (acq by Oracle).
Mid-marketing career, Dave accepted his fate as a comedian which resulted in the sensational streaming comedy service “Laughly”. Other career highlights include directing a team of 165 employees across 40 countries, enabling him to be chosen as “Chief Marketing Officer of the Year” by the CMO Council. Before that, Dave started his career at General Electric, AT&T, and Boston Consulting Group. If that’s not a display of experience, we don’t know what is.
Dave Scott calls himself an analytical marketer with roots in Lead Gen. In the same interview, he said, “the profile for a good marketer has changed. We need people with analytics and technical prowess rather than just creative thinkers.” Aside from managing more than half a billion dollars and generating millions of marketing leads, Dave is an original innovator in the digital transformation of large companies.
So, why did we want Dave for JumpCon? Because you are who you hang out with.
Getting to know Dave Scott
We asked Dave three questions to help you get to know him.
Here are his answers:
One special thing about you that is not in your bio? I took time off to become a professional comedian. Toured with Amy Schumer, Tracy Morgan, Nick DePaulo, and many others.
What would you love to chat about with conference attendees other than work? I’m a huge movie buff. Always happy to opine over the summer blockbusters, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or the Oscars.
Why speak at JumpCon when you could be anywhere in the world? Because I was afraid of what would happen if I said no. (Oh, did we forget to mention that our CMO was a bare-knuckle karate champion?)
